Group Presentation Reflections Before this class started, I hadn't really delved into the topic of Public Speaking or giving speeches in general. Watching my colleagues give these presentations over the past couple of weeks has not been informational, but helpful in so many ways. I now feel more confident about my public speaking skills, thanks to the great presentations overall of all the groups.    Group 1   Group 1 opened with the fundamentals of public speaking. They showed us the necessary steps to ensure we could always have a great presentation. This group had a very organized and well put- together presentation. Their visual aids contributed largely to their presentation and everyone presented very confidently. The group covered a plethora of topics, from how to choose topics to present to an audience, to how public speaking is quite a unique form of communication. Hemer warned us about the dangers of Plagarism. I think that was a great component of the presentation, becaus

Group 1  For me group 1 was by far the one that stuck out to me the most because on of the steps that they charged with us related to me.  Group 1 talks about the importance of presentation and the important steps you need to make for a better presentation. Those are the steps that stand out to me  Preparation : They stressed the significance of thorough preparation, which includes researching your topic, gathering relevant information, and organizing your content effectively. Clarity of Message : Group 1 emphasized the importance of having a clear and concise message. Your audience should easily grasp the main points you want to convey. Engagement : They underscored the need to engage the audience through various means such as storytelling, visual aids, or interactive elements to maintain their interest. Confidence Building : They encouraged building self-confidence as a means to conquer pre-speech anxiety, allowing you to focus on effectively delivering your content. Avoid Common Pit

Juanita Ramirez - Post 1 The Art of presenting   For many, presenitng in public generates a series of different feelings. There are those who develop quickly and conciensely speechs since they have grater skills when addressing the public, and in other cases, presenting in public can generate nerves, anxiety , and difficulty expressing themselves. The personal and group experience varies according to our way of managing a present audience. As a class, we had the opportunity to learn the different ways to reach the audiencce and observe and analyze how a good presentation can be generated, from the way it is prepared to the moment is presented. Group # 1  The first group was in charge of covering very relevant topics related to the importance of personal security that must be developed in order to reach the public in a calm and friendly way. It is important to highlight that this presentation told us about how human beings, when having and audience can react in different ways; and how

Giovanni Rios Hello everyone,      I have to admit that my experience with the presentations so far has been a bit...mixed. Since i entered the class quite late due to unforeseen circumstances and registering into the fall term very late, I unfortunately found myself in a position where I had to catch up quickly and was put into a group at the last moment by the professor. It was certainly a challenging situation, and unfortunately it did end up affecting my overall enjoyment of the presentations a bit, if I can be frank. Being put into the group at the time that I did meant that I was initially a bit lost and unfamiliar with what was going on. I struggled to grasp the context and the flow of the presentations since I basically missed almost two weeks of the class sessions, which in turn made it difficult for me to fully appreciate the effort and hard work put in by my fellow classmates. However, I do want to acknowledge the fact that the leader of our group played a pivotal role in h

Group #1: Presentation number 1 was the inaugural act of our day, and they truly set a high standard for the rest of the presentations to follow. What struck me first was their impeccable choice of colors and the overall organization within their slides. It was evident that they had put in a significant amount of effort and attention to detail. As a visual learner, this was particularly important to me, and it made a world of difference in keeping me engaged throughout their presentation. Their slides were not only aesthetically pleasing but also effectively conveyed their message, making it clear that Group 1 had invested a considerable amount of time to ensure perfection. However, there was one aspect that slightly detracted from an otherwise stellar performance. Most of the group members seemed to rely heavily on reading directly from the PowerPoint slides. While the content was informative, the constant fixation on the screen made it less engaging. I believe they could have improve

Abigail LeFont's Blog 1  Chapters 1-12  Presenting these chapters as our first presentation for a public speaking class was an amazing and smart approach to introduce ourselves to tips and skills needed to ace your speech. It gave all of us essential insight as to how to perfect our speeches for future presentations. It was a nice starter and our presentations will just keep getting better. We will become more confident over time. I’m going to go over Group 1 and Group 2.  GROUP 1 Group 1 presented chapters 1-4, Preparing Presentations. This topic covered how to prepare your presentations with relevant information that is circling today’s society. Not only did this presentation go over the information you should cover within it, but it covered how to prepare to give the presentation as well. Many of us fear failure and that is normal. I know I fear failure. I fear messing up and making mistakes in front of people. But we are human and that can happen. We have to remember that failu

via GIPHY      Due to all the knowledge  that was given from the presentations of all 3 groups I can now say that I have way more confidence and more information on how to go by my own presentation. Each group taught on how to analysis the audience , what topics to choose from, and what to  avoid. In my opinion all three group presentations inform the importance of making a presentation a good one .  Group 1 First and formal group 1 had a well organized presentation they informed the class on how public speaking is important because without any communication skills it would be nearly impossible to be in the working world or life in general. Public speaking helps with forming connections, builds confidence, and motivate change.  They also informed us on what should be avoided in a presentation I found this particular section important because it talks about how you should avoid exhausted topics, illegal items and activities talking on that sort of subject can lead to suspension in s

Yaismel Reyes     In our preparation for the group project centered around public speaking, we undertook several crucial steps. First and foremost, we dedicated time to thoroughly study our assigned chapters, gaining a deep understanding of our project's subject matter. What added great value to our preparation was the opportunity to listen to presentations from other groups covering different chapters. This experience allowed us to gain valuable insights and gather tips on how to effectively prepare for the speech portion of our project. By incorporating these lessons, we have strived to enhance the quality of our presentation and improve our overall performance. Group 1 - Group One's presentation offered a lot of valuable insights into the world of public speaking. In their discussion, they highlighted several fundamental aspects that significantly contribute to the success of any presentation. First and foremost, the group stressed the crucial importance of selecting a topic
